How to Fix SP Flash Tool Failed to Get PMT Info

What should I do if I get a notification Failed to Get PMT Info in the SP Flash Tool? That problem often occurs when flashing smartphones using the MediaTek chipset.

First, failure to getting PMT info can be overcome by not pressing any buttons and then connect the smartphone to the PC. I have done this way without pushing the Volume Up / Down. Make sure in the Windows Device Manager the MediaTek USB Port is detected.

The second reason is the SP Flash Tool cannot be mapping partitions in memory (EMMC/EMCP). Table names, offsets, and sizes are not legible. Damaged that component can be a trigger. Reballing or replacing that component can be a solution. Do it correctly, don't harm other parts on the PCB. After that, re-write using the Scatter file.
